Based out of Iowa, Telekinetic Yeti is a two-man band that delivers sonic brutality melded with psychedelic doom wizardry, forged by the worship of the almighty riff and honed by relentless touring and dedication to their craft.
Creating music as cryptically enchanting as it is heavy, you wouldn't guess that the impressive cacophony pouring out of the speakers like molten, metal syrup is being produced by only two people. Founder and guitarist Alex Baumann explains, “Originally I decided not to have a bass player purely for logistical reasons, it was just another schedule to work around, another person who’s boss could tell us we can’t tour, but then I started seeing it as a challenge, like let’s see how heavy we can make it with just two people.”
That started grabbing peoples' attention. Relentless touring and playing pretty much any club that would have them, the band set sail on their epic voyage, selling their debut album Abominable out of their van and cutting their teeth in the underground playing hundreds of shows. All the while receiving rave reviews of their live performance as well as their first release, which landed at #2 on the doom charts and stayed right there for months. The Sludgelord called the eight-song album “a f***ing monster from start to finish,” and The Obelisk, including the album in their year-end, best of list, dubbed it the “debut of the year,” and said “it could have been another band’s second or third record for the level of cohesion on display.” The video for “Stoned and Feathered” quickly racked up a few hundred thousand views and counting. It was at this time that Telekinetic Yeti caught the attention of Ozzy Osbourne bass player, Blasko, who named Abominable on his “5 favorites” list. People were starting to catch on, and soon thereafter Telekinetic Yeti would be invited to tour extensively with some of the best heavy rock bands in the business, including Clutch, Black Label Society, Red Fang and Weedeater.
Now the band finds itself in a much different, auspicious position, and with the help of famed producer Phillip Cope (Baroness, Kylesa, Damad, Black Tusk et al), Telekinetic Yeti returns with their eagerly-anticipated, second full-length album, Primordial.
With this release, the band takes their game to a whole new level. Primordial explores themes as diverse as evolution, sorcery, black magic and the contradictions of the gloriously uplifting yet simultaneously melancholic human condition. "I wanted to write something that was an appropriate intro to the album, that brought to mind an early earth setting and featured atmospheric elements as well as some droning, sparse simplicity and lyrically, simple imagery regarding the dawn of humankind and creation of the first tools." explains Baumann of the title track.
As it unfolds, the album evolves into a cathartic exploration turning themes into tangible sounds and haunting fugues. Says Baumann regarding the inspiration behind “Beast”: "This song is about wanting to escape the societal constraints that keep us on the wheel, toiling away, indefinitely. It's also about questioning authority figures, or really
anyone that claims to have all the answers."
Matured songwriting, creatively brutal riffs and an exercise in monstrous tones make this listen an immersive experience taking you back to explore and appreciate the primordial ooze that we all came from. Telekinetic Yeti has partnered with stalwart Indie label, Tee Pee Records.

The Bellwether Syndicate · Then Comes Silence · Accolade
Substation645 NW 45th StSeattle, WA98107
YES Music Productions presents -
The Bellwether Syndicate
thebellwethersyndicate.com/home
Formed in 2012, THE BELLWETHER SYNDICATE is fronted by veteran artist William Faith (vocals/guitars), and Sarah Rose Faith (vocals/guitars). While the studio recordings are made by William and Sarah alone, the live lineup includes Corey Gorey (bass) and Philly Peroxide (keyboards/percussion) and Stevyn Grey (drums). The band have always sought to color outside of prescribed genre lines, endeavoring to push past the boundaries of style into something substantial and vital.
Released in 2013, The Night Watch EP was supported by a string of dates both domestic and abroad, culminating in the band delivering a celebrated performance at Germany’s storied Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in 2014.
Released in 2018 (as a single from the forthcoming album), Republik is an alluring piece of glam noir, fusing a raw, swing groove with William’s crooned vocal, itself a lyrical lamentation of the erosion of communication between people in this troubled era, while Sarah’s liquid guitars gently sweeten the delivery before the song gives way to an instantly-memorable, anthemic chorus, bursting with glam rock guitar and tribal drums, as the timely lyric compels us to “wake up” and turn back from the precipice while there’s still time…
Then Comes Silence
thencomessilence.eu/
Then Comes Silence are the Swedish captains of postpunk. The quartet from Stockholm is a fresh breeze of gothic renaissance, kicking darkness around with hammering rhythms and melodies that make hearts melt and blood freeze. The fascination for doom and darkness pervade and influence every tune and word.
The music of Then Comes Silence takes the listener on a journey from swinging postpunk to the shadows of goth-gaze and into scraps of coal hearted psych. The sharp soundscape is intense, massive and pounding. The lyrics flirt with death and sorrow. It’s goth, psychedelica, rock and post-punk in a symbiosis. Since the band’s very first show, as the opening act for A Place to Bury Strangers in 2012.
The sonic collaboration of two guitars creates an imaginative dimensional sonic picture, propelled either side of the drum and bass lead, like a dark and winged creature. Sinister and threatening vocals set up a presence that is both exciting and foreboding. Adrenaline guaranteed! Their music attracts wide attention and is praised for its apocalyptic sound and dystopian message.
In 2018 the band opened for Fields Of The Nephilim and Chameleons Vox in Germany and are more frequently a part of the line-up on the festivals in Europe. The same year, Seth Kapadia and Jens Karnstedt left the band and the former session musicians and touring substitutes Mattias Ruejas Jonson (ex A PROJECTION) and Spanish born Hugo Zombie (ex Los Carniceros Del Norte) became the new members in the band.

Creeping Death with 200 Stab Wounds, Ingrown, Spiritworld, Tribal Gaze
Adv $20 / Dos $25
Lone Star State metallers Creeping Death combine the crushing, doom-laden brutality of Swedish death metal with the kinetic, neck-snapping drive of classic Bay Area thrash.
Originating in the metal-rich town of Denton, but later based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the group was founded in 2015 by vocalist Reese Alavi, guitarist Trey Pemberton, bassist Eric Mejia, and drummer Lincoln Mullins. Frontman Alavi caught the hardcore bug at the age of 18 after attending a particularly pummeling and cramped Tattoo Parlor set by Dallas thrashers Power Trip. Inspired by classic grindcore and old-school death metal giants like Bolt Thrower and Grave, and drawing lyrical inspiration from the massively multi-player online role-playing game Runescape, Creeping Death issued the three-song EP Sacrament of Death in 2016. The band's second EP, 2018's Specter of War, became an underground hit and eventually caught the attention of eOne, who signed the group later that year. Creeping Death's first full-length effort, the merciless Wretched Illusions, arrived in September 2019.... See MoreSee Less
